Things Little
York University Visual Arts MFA Exhibition
Exhibition Dates: February 1 - 11, 2017
Gallery 50
50 Gladstone Ave, Toronto
Wednesday to Sunday 1pm - 5pm
Things Little continues the tradition of a second-year Visual Arts MFA Winter group exhibition. Working closely with curator Vanessa Nicholas, a doctoral student from the Art History and Visual Culture program at York University, this cohort of students has come together to celebrate their diverse community as well as give a glimpse into what their future art careers might hold.
All things great are wound up with all things little. This maxim is vital in its simplicity and purpose, and it restored my will to work by reminding me that individual actions matter more than ever. With this awareness, I found the meaning of curating this group exhibition and saw anew the ways in which each of the participating artists labors over things little in the name of things great.
