Holly Lee The young Leni Riefenstahl danced by the sea-side in the silent film Holy Mountain (1926). Arnold Fanck, director of the film, captured breathtakingly Winter mountain scenes in the German Alps. Fanck was a geologist, but was best remembered as the pioneer of the "bergfilme" mountain film genre. Holly Lee Mrs. Bento found something unusual in the letter she received today. It came in as a brown 6"x9" envelope, which was clearly addressing to her. She cut open the envelope with a pair of scissors and several postcards dropped out. "Greetings from chilly Canada/This morning I went up the CN Tower/It is chilly in Toronto...all the names of the addressees are different. Indeed the front of two postcards are images of the CN Tower, taken from two different angles, the third one an aerial shot of the City, with the City Hall as the main focal point. Mrs. Bento doubted she had read something personal and she must have received something she was not supposed to. Then she found the Christmas card with a letter inside. |
